SxSW has posted the audio podcast of a 2010 panel I was a part of entitled “Remix Goes Mainstream: Making Mashups Pay” moderated by Patricia Aufderheid of the Center for Social Media. I was asked to participate to represent the prospective of a remix artist whose work is strictly non-commercial. I also point out a few indirect benefits from non-monetary projects. My comments come at 19:20 and 34:30 though the entire mp3 is worth a listen.
